Originally from Norfolk, Va., Janeal is a long-time bookworm, writer, and editor. With degrees in multimedia journalism and Spanish from Virginia Commonwealth University, since the young age of 9, she has desired the life of a writer and editor. She was a staff member for VCU’s student newspaper, The Commonwealth Times, and writes profiles for Urban Views Weekly. As a former reporter for Capital News Service, she served statewide publications by covering the General Assembly. With VCU’s iPad Journos, Janeal produced content for CBS 6 WTVR’s website. On VCU’s student-run radio station, WVCW, she hosted ‘The Blushing Dolphin,’ co-hosted the ‘The Radio Divas,’ and was one of four host on ‘Goodpeeples’ radio shows.
Other writing and editorial experience includes work as a features writer, freelance journalist, technical writer, and beta reader for aspiring authors.
